Property Fire

On initial reports for this incident, both appliances from Bodmin were mobilised, on arrival crews found smoke issuing from the roof of a two storey property, further resources were requested and appliances from Lostwithiel and St. Austell attended.

Update at 1400 hours: Teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are committed at the scene, three hosereel jets, one main jet and a 13.5 metre ladder are all in use, good progress is being made at this time. One male casualty has been treated at the scene by Westcountry Ambulance personnel, suffering burns to the hand. Devon & Cornwall Police are in attendance and have closed roads in the vicinity.

Update 1500 hours: The fire has now been confirmed as extinguished. The fire involved a cooking range and extraction system in a commercial premises measuring five by nine metres, crews are involved in cutting away in the first and the second floor areas at this time.
