Two crews with eleven firefighters from Penzance attended a call to a kitchen fire. The kitchen involved was on the ground floor of a two storey end of terrace dwelling. Smoke was issuing from the property on the arrival of the fire service. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel and one main jet to extinguish the fire. One female casualty was treated on scene by Ambulance paramedics for the effects of smoke inhalation. Once the fire had been extinguished crews cut away to ensure the fire was completely out. Crews carried out salvage from the premise. This fire is believed to have started accidentally.
