St Marys airport IOS at 25/06/2012 12:01

At 1003 this morning CFRS received a call from St Marys airport that a Helicopter had raised the alarm that a fire alarm warning had illuminated on the aircraft. The helicopter had 26 people on board and was 10 min away from landing at St Marys .
Fire control mobilised 2 appliances from St Marys to back up the Airdrome crews.
At 1015 fire control received a further call from St Marys to say the aircraft had landed safely.
