At 1724 this afternoon the Fire Service was called to a report of a sow that had fallen into a slurry pit. Two crews from Truro and one from Camborne were mobilised to the incident. 2 Firefighters wearing dry suits successfully rescued a 250kg sow uninjured from the slurry using animal rescue equipment. A vet was in attendance during the incident. All appliances are now leaving the scene.
