Two appliances from St Just, the rescue tender and a further appliance from Camborne along with two wholetime officers were mobilised to a report of a half a tonne heffer down a 15 to 20 foot dry shaft. Crews used shacs equipment and two firefighters entered the shaft to harness the heffer, the animal was then retrieved with the use of an industrial tele handler and downacow system. The animal was then handed back to the farmer.
