Building Fire

Whilst assigned to standby duties at Camelshead Fire Station, one fire appliance from Saltash Community Fire Station attended a building fire with fire appliances from Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Services's Plympton and Yelverton Fire Stations.
The incident involved a fire in the ground floor living room of a semi-detached maisonette. Seven breathing apparatus wearers and three hosereel jets were used to extinguish the fire. A positive pressure ventilation fan was also used to ventilate the property. The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
The red cross unit was also mobilised for the welfare of the occupants, who were put into temporary accommodation for the night.
