Appliances from Wadebridge and Bodmin were mobilised to a report of a fire in a block of flats at 22:00. On arrival the first crew confirmed there had been a small rubbish fire on the ground floor hall way but was out by the time of their arrival. Firefighters entered the smoke logged flats using two breathing apparatus and a hose reel, then cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
The cause is believed to be accidental and confined to the rubbish.
