Two appliances carrying 12 fire fighters from Bodmin attended a call to a detached domestic garage on fire measuring 6 x 3 metres. Crews wore four breathing apparatus and used two main jets and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. One casualty suffering smoke inhalation was treated on scene by Ambulance paramedics. Once the fire had been extinguished crews ventilated a domestic property which had not directly been involved in the fire but was in close proximity to the garage.
A fire investigation is being carried out to establish the cause of the fire, at this time it is believed to have been started deliberately. At 22:00 hrs crews remain on scene damping down.
