One crew of six from Newquay attended a call to an area of woodland on fire. Involving 15 m x 5 m of the woods, one hose reel supplied by a hydrant was used to extinguish the fire. Lighting and pitch forks were used to turn over the woodland, ensuring the fire was completely out.
