Carbon Monoxide Incident

Treverbyn Gardens, Sandy Hill, St Austell at 01/08/2012 11:46

One crew of five firefighters attended a call to a fire alarm sounding. After their arrival, on inspection it was established that a carbon monoxide detector in the premise was sounding, not the fire alarm. Crews inspected the sounding alarm wearing two breathing apparatus. A specially trained Hazardous Materials officer was requested to attended the incident. Uising a gas detector the officer established that there was carbon monoxide present in the premise. As a precaution an Ambulance was requested to check over the premises occupant who was safe with an neighbour. Firefighters ventilated the premise and isolated all the gas appliances in the property.

There is no more information available on this incident.
