On receipt of this incident, appliances from St. Ives were mobilised, on arrival, crews found a building heavily smokelogged and declared 'Persons Reported' and requested further resources, which resulted in appliances from Penzance and Camborne attending, the fire was located in the ground floor kitchen of a two storey end terrace property measuring ten by five metres. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property with a high pressure hosereel to extinguish the fire, two dogs were rescued by Cornwall Fire & Rescue personnel, but unfortunately were later pronounced deceased. A total of twenty personnel were on scene. Fortunately all persons were accounted for. Crews were delayed for some time while a Fire Investigation took place. The cause was accidental.
