Demonstrations of fire fighting equipment, information on how to become a firefighter and displays by the RNLI, RSPCA and Newquay Zoo are just some of the attractions on offer at the annual Open Day at Newquay Fire Station on Saturday, August 10th.
The Open Day, which runs from 10 am to 4 pm, will include demonstrations of the wide range of equipment used by Cornwall Fire Brigade, from hoses to fire engines. There will also be a chance to discover how to become a firefighter or join the popular Fire Brigade Cadet scheme.
Representatives from the RNLI, the Police, the Coastguard, Coastwatch, Newquay Zoo, the RSPCA and paramedics from Westcountry Ambulance will also be on hand to give information and advice. .
The Fire Brigade Cadets will also be serving hot food and refreshments
So why not go along and meet your local firefighters, experience some fun and help the Brigade raise money for the Benevolent Fund.
