On first reports of this incident stating a building was on fire, appliances from Launceston and Callington were mobilised, on arrival a range of farm buildings were well alight and further resources were requested, appliances from Bodmin and Liskeard were mobilised, specialist appliances from Launceston, Liskeard and Saltash also are in attendance.
The fire involves a range of farm buildings measuring 70 by 30 metres and involves 300 tonnes of hay and straw which was well alight, teams of firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed at the scene, high pressure hosereels and ground monitors are in use.

Update 1630 hours: Crews are still making good progress, some crews will be returning shortly, but may be returning later as relief crews.

Update 1730 hours: The fire is being allowed to burn out under control, two ground monitors and a jet are in use protecting surrounding buildings.
