At 04:27 hrs this morning, Cornwall Fire Control received a call to an industrial building which had smoke in a compressor room and all electricity had gone off. A total of eleven crew from both Redruth and Camborne were immediately mobilised to the premise. On crews arrival at the industrial unit they found a fire in a compressor building to the rear of the main 100 x 30 metre building. The building involved in the fire measured 10 m x 5 m and crews used two breathing apparatus, one carbon dioxide extinguisher, one hose reel and a covering jet to extinguish the fire. At 05:26 the fire had been extinguished and it was established that the fire had started accidentally.
