At 1958 hrs this evening CFRS received a call to a dog that was trapped in a Mica dam about 30metres from hard standing ground. 2 major pumps 2 specialist rescue vehicles and a 4 wheel drive appliance were sent from St Dennis St Austell and Bodmin. 2 officers also attended. The dog a standard Poodle 4 year’s old bitch was rescued by crews wearing dry suits using 4 rescue lines and 3 inflatable rescue paths to reach the animal. The dog was safely given back to the owner uninjured.
