Hgv Lorry Fire

The Fire Service was called to a HGV lorry on fire on the A30 at Bolventor. Three appliances were mobilised two from Bodmin and One from Launceston and a Wholetime Officer. On arrival the crews found an articulated lorry well alight containing beer barrels. Crews requested a further appliance and a water carrier. A further appliance from Launceston was mobilised along with a water carrier from Liskeard, a second Wholetime Officer was also sent.

Crews are at present dealing with the incident using two breathing apparatus one hose reel, 1 main jet, and a foam branch.

This all the information we have at present on this incident. Next update as and when further information becomes available.
Update 0500: the A30 has been re-opened by the Police who are also arranging recovering of the vehicle. Fire Service involvement in this incident has now ended.
