Two appliances with eight firefighters from Helston and Six firefighters from Mullion attended a call to a bunk house full of smoke. The building was heavily smoke logged on the arrival of the fire service and crews entered the building wearing two breathing apparatus with one hose reel. A thermal imaging camera was used to locate the fire in the building, which was next to a wood burner. The fire was caused by a pile of logs which had been placed next to the wood burner to dry out, the logs had ignited whilst the occupants of the premise had been out. Fortunately a passerby dialled 999 when seeing the building was full of smoke. Once the fire had been extinguished crews ventilated the property.
