At 20:10 Cornwall Fire and Rescue service recieved a call to smoke billowing out from a basement flat in Penzance. The building covers four storeys and contains five flats. The mid terraced building has been evacuated, however at this time the fire remains 'Persons Reported'. Fire crews are currently working on scene using one hose reel jet, a covering jet, two breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera to search the building.

Update at 2200. Following an investigation by officers and crews on seen all persons are now accounted for.
