At 04:30 hrs a call was received to a domestic premise which was full of smoke and the occupant was unable to get out. Twelve firefighters from St Austell were on scene within six minutes of Fire control receiving the call. Crews entered the building wearing two breathing apparatus and using one hose reel. The property was smoke logged, fire crews located the occupant and assisted him with leaving the premise. Once the occupant was out and safe, crews investigated and found there had been a grill pan fire which was out on its discovery. The casualty was suffering from smoke inhalation and was treated on scene by Ambulance paramedics. Fire crews ventilated the premise.
