Nine firefighters from Mevagissey, five firefighters from St Austell and six crew from Bodmin in a Rescue tender attended a two vehicle road traffic collision. On crews arrival one person suffering minor injuries was out of a vehicle. A second casualty was trapped in a vehicle. Crews used crash rescue equipment to create space around the casualty who was suffering suspected spinal injuries. Crews worked for 25 minutes with Ambulance paramedics cutting the casualty free; at 0810 hrs the trapped person was removed from the vehicle on a spine board.
