At 12:16 a call was recieved to a garage on fire between two properties in Madron. Two appliances from Penzance with a total of eleven crew were mobilised to the scene. Smoke was issuing from the detached domestic garage on crews arrival. The garage involved measured 5 x 3 metres and was well alight, crews deployed two breathing apparatus stage one and one hose reel. It was confirmed that one LPG gas cylinder was involved in the fire, this cylinder was deemed as being safe and was removed from the fire ground. At 12:43 four breathing were in use with two hose reels and a covering jet. Crews had extinguished the fire by 13:08 and crews wearing breathing apparatus remained turning over and damp down. A fire investigation into the cause of this fire is going to be carried out.
