At 0908 Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service received a call stating smoke was issuing from a washing machine. Two crews from St Austell and a whole time officer were mobilised. On arrival crews found a fire within the appliance, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel and a fire extinguisher were used to extinguish the fire. The cause was accidental and the fire was confined to the washing machine. This is all the information we have on this incident.
