At 0959hrs this morning the Fire Service was called to an address in Old School Hill, St Day. On arrival of a crew from Redruth and one from Truro, a fire in the ground floor kitchen was discovered. The cause being some plastic boxes having accidentally been left on a cooker. Four breathing apparatus, one hosereel and a thermal image camera were used to extinguish the fire.
