Following a call to reports of smoke coming from the rear of a hotel in Edgcumbe Avenue Newquay, two appliances were mobilised from Newquay station. On arrival they requested assistance and a further two appliances were mobilised, one from St Columb and one from Perranporth along with the aerial ladder platform from Newquay to assist with firefighting. Crews are using 4 breathing apparatus , two hosereels and two covering jets. Update 1824hrs Good progress is being made with a fire investigation now in progress.
