Six firefighters and a Fire Officer attended a call to a garage 3 foot under water after a river had burst its banks. One appliance was required to attend this non domestic premise due to the nature of its contents, that possible contaminants may have entered the river. Crews used a light portable pump and a major pump to remove water from the garage. Crews were on scene at 02:35 hrs and at 07:20 hrs they remain on scene clearing water from the property, good progress is being made. At 07:20 hrs the water in the premise is now 1 foot deep.
