Firefighters were called to the aid of a 12 year old gelding after the horse became trapped in an outdoor former vehicle inspection pit. When crews from Camborne and Redruth arrived on the scene they found the 16-hands horse had fallen into the pit – the depth of which meant he was trapped up to his shoulders.



Under the supervision of a vet, crews used a Palfinger winch to lift the horse to safety. The horse was none the worse for wear for his ordeal.
