One fire appliance and the aerial ladder platform from Newquay Community Fire Station are in attendance at a fire in a chimney of a four-storey hotel. Firefighters are using a hosereel from the aerial ladder platform to extinguish the fire. A thermal imaging camera is being used to check that the fire has not spread.

Update 2130hrs: The fire crews are still in attendance although the fire has been extinguished. They expect to leave the incident within the next 20 minutes.

Update at 2150hrs: Firefighters have left the scene.
