Eleven firefighters on two appliances from Falmouth attended a call to a chimney fire in a Public House with a thatched roof. The chimney fire was believed to be out on crews arrival, however a covering jet was put on stand by as crews used a stirrup pump and chimney rods to check the chimney flue. Firefighters also inspected all of the flues in the Public House to ensure that the fire had not spread. Advice was given to the manager of the premise before fire crews left scene.
