Sheep Rescued

Minions, Liskeard at 09/01/2013 13:09

At 1309 Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service received a call from the RSPCA requesting our assistance with a sheep that was stranded on a ledge down a quarry. Three appliances from Bodmin including a specialist rope rescue vehicle were mobilised alongside two officers, including a technical rescue officer. On arrival at the quarry which measured approximately 200 metres by 50 metres by 30 metres deep, crews found one sheep trapped on a quarry ledge approximately 15 feet below ground level. The sheep was rescued uninjured by fire fighters. This is all the information we have on this incident.
