At 0014 we received the first of five calls to a property on fire in Gulval near Penzance. Initially two appliances and an officer from Penzance were mobilised, en route the crew sent the message "Make pumps 4". Further appliances from St Just and St Ives were mobilised, along with supporting appliances from Falmouth and St Dennis. On arrival crews found one semi detached property of two floors approximately 6 metres x 9 metres, with the roof well alight. Four breathing apparatus and two main jets are currently in use, and over 40 fire-fighters are on scene at this time. The incident has been sectorised into two geographical areas, and good progress is being made. Police and Ambulance are also on scene.
Update 0345: The fire has now been declared out and the incident is starting to scale down.
Update 0415: The incident has now been scaled down to one appliance and one officer. At this time the fire is believed to have been caused accidently and confined to the building. A fire investigation team will be on scene in the morning to carry out a full fire investigation.
