At 1314 hrs this afternoon a call was received to a building which was filling with smoke. Two appliances with ten firefighters were mobilised to the scene. The property was evacuated and on crews arrival there was concerns that there was a fire in some wood joists where some workmen had been working. The fire in the roof of a bay window had been extinguished by the builders using a fire extinguisher. Fire crews used small tools to cut away at the joists and a thermal imaging to ensure that the fire was completely out.
