On receipt of this call, reporting a fire in the engine room of the RFA Argus, Fire Control mobilised appliances and resources from Falmouth, Truro and Redruth to the incident, on arrival, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus were committed to the engine room with the thermal image camera and an extinguisher, accompanied by a member of the ships crew, Fire & Rescue personnel found that welding had caused a rag to catch fire, which was fortunately out, crews proceeded to check the area out before returning to home stations.
