On receipt of this call, both appliances from Newquay were mobilised, on arrival the crew found a fire in the kitchen of a single storey domestic property, firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property with a high pressure hosereel and the thermal imaging camera and the fire was quickly extinguished, the crews proceeded to ventilate the premises using the positive pressure fan. Westcountry ambulance were requested and treated one casualty at the scene for the effects of smoke inhilation. The fire involved the cooker and the cause was accidental.
