Gwendreath Quarry, Near Kuggar at 12/03/2013 21:13
The Fire Service received a call to a gorse fire near Gwendreath Quarry outside of Kuggar on the Lizard. Two appliances attended from Mullion. On arrival crews made additional appliances due to the area of gorse on fire. A further two appliances from St Keverne and a Wholetime Officer attended. Crews used beaters to extinguish a fire of 20 hectares. Arson was suspected and the police were informed.
