Gorse Fire - 15 Hectares

Twenty firefighters from Mullion, Helston and St Keverne Community Fire Stations attended a fire involving 15 hectares gorse. The stong winds were fanning the flames and the incident was brought under control by the fire crews using beaters by 1700hrs. Arson is suspected and Devon & Cornwall Police have been informed.
