Five firefighters from Truro attended a call to a car on fire on the roundabout at the bottom of Morlaix Avenue in Truro. A number of repeat calls to the fire was recieved, the car was well alight on the fire services arrival. Crews closed Morlaix avenue to traffic and then used two breathing apparatus with one hose reel and a covering jet to extinguish the fire. Crews refilled from a hydrant and used the water to cool the vehicle before making safe. Police attended and highways were requested to attend to the damage road surface.
