At 0427hrs we were called by an elderly disabled lady to a fire in her flat in the Long Rock area of Penzance. She was able to tell the service she was on the floor in the hallway of her smoke filled flat but was unable to move. Crews from Penzance and St Ives were dispatched and a crew wearing breathing apparatus rescued the lady. A chip pan left on the cooker was found to be the cause. The property was smoke logged and the crew used a Positive Pressure Fan to ventilate.
