Cornwall Fire and Rescue service have had a busy evening with several incidents involving small vegetation fires. Crews from St Dennis, Callington, Bodmin, Camborne and St Ives have all attended incidents of this nature. Crews from Saltash, Redruth and Helston all responded to calls which on their arrival turned out to be controlled burnings. Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service would ask anyone having a controlled burning no matter how small on their property to call in to Fire Control and notify them of the intended fire to prevent crews being turned out to incidents needlessly.
