Four appliances from Newquay,Truro,Perranporth and the Aerial Ladder Platforms from Newquay and Truro have been in attendance all day at a property fire in Newquay.
A call was received at 0904 by a neighbour reporting flames coming from a window, on arrival crews confirmed that a three storey semi detached property aproximately 8 by 8 meters was alight. Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels, one external jet and thermal image camera to locate and extinguish the source of the fire. Firefighters used The Aerial Ladder Platform and a hose reel to remove roof tiles and expose the cavity to locate hot spots.

Update: 1700. The fire has been extinguished and all appliances have now returned from the incident. A crew from Newquay will revisit at 1830 to check for hot spots. A fire investigation has taken place and the cause is believed to be accidental.
