Six firefighters from Truro attended a call to a large lorry carrying a swing shovel on fire. The lorry was well alight on crews arrival. Two hose reels and two breathing apparatus was used to extinguish the fire, foam making equipment was set up in the event that the fire escalated. Fortunately fire fighters got the blaze under control. Once the fire was out, crews refilled from a hydrant and returned to the scene to damp down any remaining hotspots. Firefighters made the scene safe before returning to station.
