Five firefighters from Truro attended a call to a two storey mid terraced property which had an oil fired stove on fire, on crews arrival the request for 'make pumps two' came in, a second appliance with five firefighters from Falmouth were mobilised to the fire. The fire was in the kitchen, an oil leak from the stove had leaked around the base of the stove and ignited. Crews entered the building wearing two breathing apparatus and extinguished the fire using a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher and a hose reel. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to check the fire had not spread. Truro fire crews remained on scene until an engineer was on scene, ensuring that the fire was out inside the body of the stove before leaving scene.
