Person Cut Free From Car

Twelve firefighters from Callington, Launceston and five in a specialised Rescue Tender from Bodmin attended a call to a car which had come off the road, through a hedge and ended up on its side. A telegraph pole was also demolished by the accident. One female casualty was trapped and unresponsive in the vehicle on crews arrival. Crash rescue equipment was used to cut the casualty free. The casualty was freed by fire crews after around 35 minutes. Once free the lady was taken to hospital via Air Ambulance. At 16:30 hrs, Cornwall Fire and Rescue crews remain on scene making safe.
