Firefighters from Redruth and Camborne, including a specialist line rescue team, attended a report of a dog that had fallen down a dry mine shaft. The Jack Russell dog was situated on a ledge about 10 feet down the shaft and was rescued using a ladder and ropes by 2010hrs. The dog was not hurt by its ordeal and was returned to its very grateful owner.
