Five firefighters from Penzance attended a call to a single vehicle road traffic collision. The vehicle involved had left the road and gone into some railings, also hitting a traffic light control box. On crews arrival no persons was trapped, the control box was smoking and still live. Crews remained defensive and the A30 at Eastern Green was closed in both directions for safety reasons. The driver of the vehicle was unharmed and being checked over by Ambulance paramedics. On arrival of Western Power engineers the transformer was isolated and made safe.
