Gas Leak

One appliance from Falmouth was mobilised to investigate this incident, on arrival the crews confirmed a substantial gas leak in the road, Devon & Cornwall Police were requested for evacuation of premises within the immediate vicinity and for traffic control. Wales & West Utilities had been already been requested and were en route and arrived at 2047 hours. It was later confirmed that no persons had been evacuated, but residents had been advised to stay within their properties while the gas board investigated.
Update at 2130 hours: Cornwall Fire & Rescue personnel have now left the scene. The leak has been temporarily isolated. The incident is now in the hands of the gas board and Devon & Cornwall Police. No further details are available.
