One fire appliance from Bude Community Fire Station attended a fire involving refuse bins. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly extinguished the fire using two hosereels. It is believed that the fire was started by a hot barbecue that had been carelessly disposed of.

Fire Safety Advice:
When using a disposable barbecue, ensure that it is fully cool before you dispose of it. Never place it in a plastic bin or with other flammable rubbish, if it is still warm. Please follow the link below for further advice:
