Nine firefighters in two appliances from Bude attended a call to a bonfire which had accidentally spread to a hedge. On the call it was stated that the fire was burning towards a property and that a hose pipe was being used on the fire but was having no effect. On their arrival, crews used one hose reel to extinguish the five metres of hedge on fire.
