ARSON ATTACK AT FARM IN FRADDOM – WITNESSES ASKED TO COME FORWARD

Last night at 7.50 pm a crew from Camborne fire station went to a large hay fire at a farm near the cricket field between Fraddom and Leedstown. There were approximately 120 large heston bales of hay on fire in the field and the fire had spread to the hedge.
Crews allowed the bales to burn out over a period of four and a half hours, and left only when the fire was a safe distance from the hedge. They returned at 6.30am this morning to check that the hay was completely extinguished, and the incident finished at 6.40 this morning.
Police attended the incident and confirmed that it was an arson attack. Any witnesses are asked to ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
