One fire appliance from St Austell and one fire appliance from Fowey attended a report of a smell of smoke coming from a property.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the house, measuring ten metres by eight metres, to extinguish a fire located on the ground floor using one hosereel. There is significant heat and smoke damage to the entire property.
Arson is suspected and a joint police and fire investigation is underway.
