At 17:34 hrs this afternoon, an assistance call to the Fire Service was recieved from the Southwest Ambulance service. Ambulance Paramedics had been called to assist a casualty who had collapsed on a first floor balcony, the casualty had collapsed in such a way that access to them could not be made. Five firefighters from Falmouth were mobilised immediately to assist the Paramedics, a triple extension ladder was used by crews to climb to the balcony and to give access to the premise. The casualty was assessed by the paramedics, fire crews stood by for a while to ensure they were of no further assistance.
